The weather bug bit me at a young age. As a grade school student I would call Salt Lake City Weathercasters with my towns high and low. Also, my mother would always tell me that she wanted to do two things in life, but never was given the opportunity. One was to be a NASCAR driver, and the other was giving the weather forecast for television. I wasn't into driving fast, but I really believe my mom's weather desire melted into my thinking. Now nearly twenty years later, here I am forecasting on TV.

Before arriving in El Paso, I spent two years working for KTVH in Helena, Montana as Chief Weather Forecaster. The treasure state offered a wide variety of "extreme" amazing weather. While there, I experienced 25 below zero Fahrenheit temperatures, devastating flash floods and severe winter storms. You would think Helena's climate is cool year round, but I survived a blistering 105 degree day. Hopefully the latter has prepared me for the real heat of West Texas and Southern New Mexico!

I hold a degree in Broadcasting and Geography from Southern Utah University. Also, while at SUU I studied meteorology and am currently finishing my studies through Mississippi State University's Meteorology Program.

I'm excited about the opportunity of bringing my forecasting knowledge to KFOX and the Southern Rockies. I look forward to forecasting the regions summer heat and monsoon season.
