Firefighters and hazardous material crews responded in force following a train derailment Tuesday morning in Downtown El Paso.
Shortly after 9 a.m., three rail cars from a Union Pacific train left the tracks in the Downtown rail yard.
Firefighters say whenever there's a derailment like this, they bring a full response just in case.
But it turns out there was no hazardous cargo involved in this derailment.
"Two of 'em had what's called hot asphalt. And that's just asphalt, prior to what's being laid on the ground. And the other's a grain car, a hopper car," said Lee Baumgardner, of the El Paso Fire Department Haz-Mat Team.
None of the train cars flipped over and no one was hurt.
