Traffic stop nets four arrests, more than 30 Ecstasy pills

EL PASO, Texas —

On Saturday, El Paso police patrol units in the central part of the city pulled over a maroon Toyota Camry that police said had a defective license plate lamp.

Police officers said they noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car.

During the investigation, police officers said, they found 33.5 pills of Ecstasy and 0.44 ounces of marijuana in the possession of the passengers.

Police said Alfred Valles, Alfredo Flores and Kassandra Rivas were charged with being in possession and manufacture/delivery of Ecstasy. Juan Marin and Rivas were charged with possession of marijuana.

All four of the arrested had outstanding municipal court warrants.
