Traffic Crash Leaves Lower Valley Residents In The Dark

An accident just before 10:15 p.m. Sunday at Phoenix Drive and Hunter Drive shut off power for hours after a car hit a utility pole. But the wreck didn't stop there. Officers say the car hit another pole at North Loop Road and Hunter Drive. Paramedics transported two people to Thomason hospital. Police did not say if speed or alcohol played a roll in the accident. El Paso Electric crews said they hoped to have power restored by 5 a.m. Monday.
