Traffic Cameras Installed In Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

An eye in the sky will now check out drivers at a couple of busy Las Cruces intersections.

The intersections of Lohman and Interstate 25 as well as North Main and I-25, are now equipped with cameras to capture all the traffic coming through on a daily basis.

Residents who talked to KFOX said they're happy to see the cameras go up, hoping they will lead to less traffic congestion.

Las Cruces resident Howard Dewitt said, "That way they can regulate the way the lights go, I guess, because this really gets fouled up around here in the afternoon, particularly."

Residents can access the cameras and take a look at the flow of traffic on the Internet.
