EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso County sheriff's officials have arrested three men in connection with a double homicide in Socorro.

The bodies of Luis Antonio Fierro, 32, and Roberto Renteria, 19, were found at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22 by deputies, and witnesses said they heard up to six gunshots a few hours before, deputies said.

During Sept. 16 – 22, three men were arrested on capital murder charges in connection with the Socorro double homicide.

Officials said Eddie Noriega, Luis Rodriguez, and Juan Cornejo may have taken a role in the murders, and they were taken into custody without incident at various locations throughout the city.

Noriega, 32, was also charged with two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity – robbery, with bail set at $50,000. For the capital murder charge, Noriega is being held without bail.

Rodriguez, 43, had his bail set at $11 million, and Cornejo, 33, has his at $10 million.
