Thousands of guns were seized at the border, but not for the reason people might think.
More than 2,800 toy guns were confiscated this week by Customs and Border Protection officers working at the cargo facility at El Paso International Airport.
It is against federal law to manufacture or sell toy guns that do not have a permanently affixed orange plug in the barrel.
