LAS CRUCES, New Mexico —
Two Las Cruces men accused of kidnapping, assaulting and robbing a woman, are on the run after a standoff at a Las Cruces home.
On Monday night, Dona Ana County Sheriff's Deputies believed they spotted kidnapping suspects David Grill, 45 and Micheal Stub-Har, 42.
Deputies believed they ran into a home off Telshore and Fairway Drive.
However, they later learned the men weren't in the home. A KFOX14 news crew arrived at the scene of the standoff where a man and a woman, who are believed to be family members, came out banging on the news van, demanding the crew leave.
The victim, who was staying at the Budget Motel off of Picacho, told police the men took her out to the desert, robbed her of her cellphone, shoes and coat and then tried to strangle her. The woman is said to be OK after being treated at a local hospital.
Grill and Stubhar now face multiple charges including aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
Investigators said both Grill and Strubhar should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on the two men is asked to call Crime Stoppers (800) 822-TIPS or via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
