DONA ANA COUNTY, N.M. —

A man who was jailed on charges of battery against a household member is being sought by Dona Ana County authorities after he allegedly attacked the same woman again.

Dona Ana County Sheriff's investigators are looking for 35-year-old Federico Vacio on charges that he kidnapped and assaulted his live-in girlfriend.

Vacio's girlfriend told authorities on Monday she and Vacio had been drinking right before they got into an argument on their way home from El Paso, according to court documents.

The victim said the argument escalated once they got to her home in San Miguel.

She said that Vacio held her against her will on a bed, punching her with his fists and biting her above her torso.

She said Vacio also put a pillow over her face, making it difficult for her to breathe.

She lost consciousness, said investigators.

When she woke up she said she realized that her clothes had been taken off.

Vacio drove the victim and her daughter to a Las Cruces hospital and fled.

Prior to Monday's fight, Vacio had been placed under arrest and charged with battery against a household member against the same woman.

Vacio is described as 6 feet tall with black hair, brown eyes and weighs about 300 pounds.

He was last seen driving a 1993 cream-colored Cadillac Fleetwood.

Anyone with information on Vacio's whereabouts is asked to call police.
