EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso County sheriff’s officials remind citizens of the various ways they can submit an anonymous tip to the Sheriff’s Office.

Citizens can send a tip using Android or Apple cellphone apps or via text message.

To send a tip via text message, text EPCSO to 847411.

Citizens with Android smartphones may download the Tip411 app via the Google Play store: http://bit.ly/XYQQ4B

Those with iPhones may download the app from iTunes: http://bit.ly/XYOJ0A

A tip can also be submitted online by visiting: http://bit.ly/V3vByR

The Sheriff’s Office would like to encourage citizens to use Tip411 to report drug activity, a wanted person, information on a cold case or a general crime tip.

In the event of an emergency, officials urge citizens to call 911. Tip411 is not a substitute for 911.
