Study ranks El Paso among least literate cities in the country

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso was ranked fourth among the least literate cities in the country by 24/7 Wall St.

A study done by Central Connecticut State University ranked cities among the most and least literate based on the size of library systems, number of bookstores, educational attainment, digital readership, circulation of newspapers and other publications.

In four of the six categories, El Paso ranked in the bottom 10.
