Stranded Motorists In Fabens Desert Lost For More Than 12 Hours

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso County sheriff's deputies began a search and rescue about 7 p.m. Monday when they received a call about two lost motorist near 3300 Indian Trail near Cattleman's Stakehouse.

About two hours into the search, deputies reported that the lost motorists could see the headlights of teh search units.

Deputies said the couple is from Dallas, Texas. The man is identified as 24-year-old Raymond Hill, but the woman has not been identified.

Deputies said they have been missing since 7 a.m. without food or water in near freezing temperatures. All-terrain vehicles were dispatched to the desert. Deputies shined spotlights in desert areas in hopes of lost motorists seeing lights. It is unknown how far into the desert the lost motorist are.
