Sparks Family Gets Help Fixing Home

EL PASO COUNTY, Texas —

A local contractor sees the need of a Sparks family and plans to help.

As KFOX-14 reported Monday night, the Navas family doesn't have a proper heater in their mobile home. The home is not properly insulated, the ceiling leaks and a window doesn't shut.

After seeing the KFOX story, the general manager of Tri-Star Roofing and Construction, Jose Frescas, went to the Navas home on Tuesday.

"I thank God, and that's the best way I can honor him by helping others in need," said Frescas.

He checked out the home and figured out what material is needed. He said he got A Plus Roofing Supply on board to donate the material.

"That (a new roof) will prevent the cool air from coming in and it will prevent the water, as we may have some snow later on and it will be melting. But since they're going to have a new roof, that won't happen," said Frescas.

The work is expected to start Wednesday.
