EL PASO,Texas —
Sisters of a woman who was fatally shot early Monday spoke exclusively to KFOX14.
“There was no history (of violence) at all," said a woman who would only identify herself as the younger sister of 43-year-old Hilda Gonzalez. “That's why it's so shocking to our family to come to find out that this happened."
Leo Martinez, 23, is Gonzalez’s son. He was arrested and charged with murder in connection with Gonzalez’s death.
He has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $600,000 bond.
The sisters did not want to talk about Martinez, or circumstances that may have led to the shooting. They only wanted to dispel any myths that the shooting was drug-related.
The shooting happened about midnight on Monday in the 1500 block of Cactus Wren Place, just outside of Horizon City.
