El Paso County Sheriff's Office

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies were out Sunday patrolling the Red Sands area after a stabbing took place there.

On Nov. 25, deputies responded to fight among several people that ended in a stabbing and three people had to be hospitalized.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office said deputies were out there on Sunday because they had received complaints of underage drinking, reckless driving, child endangerment, illegal drug activity and subjects disturbing the peace.

The Red Sands area is located in far east El Paso County and is known as a popular off-roading place.

Officials said deputies plan on patrolling the area for illegal activity.

Illegal burning prohibitions will be enforced, they said.
