EL PASO, Texas —

Northeast El Paso received the brunt of Monday night's storm, with hail, rain and lightning.

KFOX caught several lightning strikes on TX-Dot traffic cameras as they lit up the night sky.

High winds also pounded the area with gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in parts of the borderland.

Drivers had to take it slow on area highways and roadways, as the rain came down in sheets causing dangerous conditions.
