EL PASO, Texas —

It took only a matter of minutes before Texas Avenue near Cotton Street became a dangerous driving situation.

"Some are pretty daring, and they'll try to go through it, and I try to avoid them," said Patricia Loya who was driving in the area.

Scott Ziegler, with Meza Trophies and Plaques, has seen this before.

"Maybe about 10 minutes into the rain, it all starts up, and just gets really bad around here, and it will stay like this for maybe the next three or four days," said Ziegler.

He said the water didn't make it inside the business, but it came pretty close.

"I went and asked for my boss to go and get some sandbags, just in case, because whenever a car pulls up in here, it makes the water level go up," said Ziegler.

Ziegler told KFOX while he worries about his business, the bigger concern is the drivers who try to make it through the deep water.

"People need to pay attention to the road conditions, and if they don't think they can make it, if they even have any doubts, to not go through it," said Ziegler.
