Severe Thunderstorm Warning In Effect

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect Wednesday for El Paso County.

The warning includes cities of Montana Vista, Fabens, and Northwestern Hudspeth County in southwest Texas until 4 p.m.

At 4:08 p.m. the National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

This storm was located near Fabens and moving northeast at 20 mph.

Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to Clint, Sparks and Horizon City.

The National Weather Service is calling this storm dangerous.

If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud to ground lightning.

People outside should move to a shelter preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.
