Border security is on the agenda on Capitol Hill this week.
Tuesday, U.S U.S. John Cornyn met with leaders from El Paso in his Washington, D.C., office.
The president of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, Fort Bliss officials and representatives from the city are in D.C.
Bolstering border security wasn't the only issue discussed, though.
Leaders also spoke about the future growth at Fort Bliss and expanding economic opportunities in the Sun City.
