Update: Sheriff's office issued subpoenas to Socorro officials

SOCORRO, Texas —
A spokesperson from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office told KFOX14 that investigators are serving subpoenas to the city's staff at the Socorro's administrative office. Officials said they cannot release how many or who were served during the investigation, which took place Thursday morning at the city's office on Horizon Boulevard. A spokesperson for the Socorro Police Department told KFOX14 this morning that the sheriff's office was executing a search warrant, but sheriff's officials said that wasn't the case.
