Sarabia Finally Sworn In

EL PASO, Texas —

He had to wait an extra week but a new Socorro school board member is ready to go to work.

Joe Sarabia was sworn in Wednesday night.

He could not get sworn in last week because of a rule that didn't allow mangers in city departments to hold public office.

The rule has since been changed to allow Sarabia who is a lieutenant with the El Paso Fire Department serve on the SISD Board.
