I am a Hanks High School graduate and I have been looking forward to returning home to the El Paso - Las Cruces area. I am very excited to be able to bring my weather experience to my home town. Working at the national level gave me invaluable forecasting skills that I look forward to sharing with our viewers in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied & Physical Science from Southwest Texas State University. Next, I landed an internship in the weather department at KTBC FOX7 in Austin. My first on-air position was at KCEN-TV in Waco/Temple as the morning weekday Meteorologist. Then I helped to launch News 8 Austin, where I again held the morning Meteorologist position. In January of 2001, I started working for The Weather Channel. My time at The Weather Channel gave me the opportunity to interact with some of the foremost severe weather experts, as well as some of the top Meteorologists in the country. The knowledge and experience I gained at the national level was invaluable.

I am a full member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and I am also a member of the National Weather Association (NWA).

The change from the Southeast to the Southwest was a welcome one. I enjoy hiking, skiing, golfing and landscape photography. Im excited to be back and I cant wait to interact with community. I love being a Meteorologist because it gives me the opportunity to warn people of incoming inclement weather and it gives me the chance to teach about weather and its impact.
