EL PASO, Texas —

Police arrest a woman for DWI after her car rolls over with four kids inside.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, next to The Fountains shopping center which is under construction.

Five people were taken to Del Sol Medical Center after the car landed on its roof on Gateway West Boulevard east of Hawkins Boulevard.

Details of the crash are still developing, but police tell KFOX14 the driver was drinking.

It's not known how old the children are, but they were put on stretchersand taken away by ambulance.

Police said their injuries are minor.

The crash also knocked down a fire hydrant, which caused thousands of gallons of water to rush down the street.

The broken water line also caused a sink hole next to a power pole, said police.

Concerned for people's safety, police shut down Gateway Boulevard East until crews could stop the water from gushing from the line.

The sink hole did not threaten the power pole, and police were able to open Gateway after four hours, said police.
