EL PASO, Texas —
A rollover accident on Interstate 10 near Vinton sent a 5-year-old girl to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Chief Carlos Enriquez of the Anthony Police Department said a family a three was traveling west on I-10 near Mile Marker 1.
Enriquez said the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the high winds, and the car rolled over at least five times.
The 5-year-old and the two other passengers were taken to University Medical Center. Enriquez said it is believed that the girl is in stable condition.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident, Enriquez said.
Police are continuing their investigation on this crash.
