Retired shuttle Endeavour will fuel up at Biggs Army Airfield Thursday

Associated Press, NASA

WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. —

Space shuttle Endeavour landed in Houston Wednesday.

It's headed west to retirement in a California museum.

The shuttle, atop a modified jumbo jet, touched down Wednesday morning on a runway near NASA's Johnson Space Center at Ellington Field. Hundreds of people cheered wildly during the landing and an earlier fly-by.

It's scheduled to stop and fuel up at Biggs Army Airfield Thursday. Then Borderland spectators will be able to see it fly over White Sand Missile Range between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Mountain time.

Bad weather this week delayed Endeavour's trip.

Endeavour departed Kennedy Space Center in Florida early Wednesday after a two-day weather delay.

During the cross-country ferry flight, social media users are encouraged to share their Endeavour sightings using the hashtags #spottheshuttle and mention @EndeavourOverNM on Twitter.
