Nestle foods is recalling nearly 55,000 pounds of frozen Lean Cuisine Asian-Style Pot Stickers dinners. The reason for the recall is pieces of plastic may be in the food.

The 9-ounce packages being recalled have the establishment number: P7991 and were sold nationwide with the words "Best before October 2006" on them.

L.L. Bean is recalling more than 4,000 safety kits that were sold under the name Auto Safety Kit, Auto Aid in a Bottle, Winter Safety Kit and Outdoorsman in a Bottle.

The flashlight in these kits relies on a powerful magnet and copper coil for manual recharging. The magnet can render the kit's compass unreliable. The magnet can be powerful enough to disrupt a heart patient's implantable defibrillator.

L.L. Bean catalogs, its Web site and stores sold the recalled safety kits between August and November of last year.

Steve and Barry's University Sportswear is recalling about 334,000 children's jackets and other outerwear with drawstrings.

The garments have drawstrings through the hoods, which pose a strangulation hazard to the wearer.

The recalled coats, jackets and sweaters sold nationwide between January of 2004 and last month.
