EL PASO, Texas —

It's been a cloudy Saturday and it may be a soggy Sunday in the Borderland. Rain, breezy winds and mountain snow are expected Sunday as a storm moves into the area. The Borderland had a taste of what is to come with cloudy skies Saturday and wind gusts up to 24 mph. There is a slight chance of rain on Saturday night.

Sunday will bring a 50 percent chance for rain and highs around 54 degrees. Winds will be on the breezy side at up to 30 mph. The best chance to see rain on Sunday are between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. By Sunday night the rain chance drops to 20 percent.

This system will also bring anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of mountain snow. The higher elevations, 6500 feet to 7,000 feet could also see a mix of rain and snow. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Grant County, southwest mountains, and the lower Gila region from 5 a.m. Sunday until 11 p.m. Sunday.
