Princess Party Owner On The Run

EL PASO, Texas —

After being arrested on suspicion of taking money to put on little girls’ princess-themed parties, but not showing up, Laura Gonzalez is apparently avoiding prosecution.

Gonzalez, the owner of Once Upon A Time Princess Parties, has three warrants out for her arrest for not showing up to court regarding three cases against her.

After a number of parents came to KFOX with complaints that they paid Gonzalez to put on parties, the county attorney filed deceptive business practice charges against her.

Gonzalez was out on bond when she did not show up to a hearing for the two deceptive business practice cases. She also did not show up to court to answer a resisting arrest charge.

"When anyone fails to appear for court, it is bad for the judicial system. It is bad for the victims in the case because they have to wait longer to get the case resolved, and it just slows down the entire judicial process. So failure to appear in court is a serious matter, and there needs to be consequences for that," said Kent Sutton, an assistant county attorney.

If you have seen Gonzalez or know where she might be, you are asked to call the El Paso Sheriff’s Department at 915-546-2280.
