What would you like to hear the president say in his State of the Union address?

This could be President Barack Obama’s last State of-the-union address.

In the wake of a surprising primary in South Carolina and an uncertain race to find a Republican candidate, the president has the nation’s full attention.

Political analyst and communications professor Richard Pineda said the president is unlikely to spend a lot of time on the subject of immigration because it's hard to please people on the far left or the far right.

Pineda said the president probably won't spend a lot of time talking about ObamaCare since the new programs are still in their infancy.

Obama will probably talk about his foreign policy decisions and victories.

But there are two big subjects that should dominate his speech.

"He's going to have to address, and in some ways he's going to have to hit a home run on the economy and on national security,” Pineda said. “Those are the two things that I think people should be watching for and really look to see how the president handles them."

Tonight on kFOX14 News at Nine an El Paso military wife will have a seat in the House chamber watching Obama's speech. Roxana Delgado is the wife of Staff Sgt. Victor Medina. Medina served in Iraq with a Fort Bliss unit when an explosively formed projectile - a particularly powerful type of roadside bomb - blew up next to his vehicle in 2009.  Medina suffered a serious brain injury.
