A major electricity outage affected many homes for hours in East Las Cruces early Wednesday morning.
According to the El Paso Electric Company, it all started around 3:45 a.m. with a downed power line.
It apparently affected areas in East Las Cruces all the way from Mesa Grande to the Oregon Mountains.
Las Cruces dispatch told KFOX that they began receiving complaint phone calls around 4 a.m.
No traffic signals were reported out of working order throughout the outage.
Crews were able to get the electricity running again at about 7:30 a.m.
