Poodle-Terrier Pooches Need Public's Help

Pet Haven workers are asking for the public's help as they care for two dogs recently rescued from Animal Control.

"They were both in really bad shape," said Jesse Miller of Pet Haven said.

Miller said both dogs are poodle-terrier mix. She said the female, Anne, is more poodle and is the smaller of the two. Both are about 3 years old.

Anne, who is pregnant with six puppies, is due to give birth any day. The puppies will all be adopted out as soon as they are spayed and neutered, Miller said.

In anticipation of the births, Miller said Pet Haven is in need of towels.

"Please, if everyone could donate a couple of old towels to us, that would really help," Miller said.

Miller said towels can be dropped 24 hours a day off in a trash can right outside Pet Haven's front gate.

Pet Haven is also in need of cleaning supplies, bleach, paper towels, rakes, garden trash bags and shovels.

"Anything to help us keep the weeds at bay!" said Miller

Anyone who would like to donate items can do so at Pet Haven, 6750 Westside Drive, El Paso, 79932 or call 877-4545.
