EL PASO, Texas —

Two men face charges after allegedly loading up shopping carts with stolen items from Walmart and leaving the store through the emergency exit, police said.

Around 2:45 a.m. Thursday, a police supervisor saw Garrick Muro and Mario Muro attempting to close the door on a 2008 Nissan Altima while they were behind the Walmart.

Police said there was a large amount of items in the vehicle, such as a flat-screen TV, that were allegedly stolen from the store.

The investigation revealed that Garrick, 23, and Mario, 24, went through the Walmart and placed items ranging from flat-screen TVs to clothes in shopping carts.

The total amount of stolen property totaled $5,406.45, police said.

The two were booked into the El Paso County Jail for engaging in organized criminal activity. Bail for Garrick was set at $7,500, and $8,379 for Mario, who had three outstanding municipal court warrants.

Police said they do anticipate more arrests and are continuing their investigation.
