EL PASO, Texas —

Police arrested an 18-year-old man they said stole an Xbox, a DVD player and other items from a home on the 100 block of Locust Street.

Around 6:20 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a burglary in progress at the home. Police saw Lorenzo Martinez fleeing the scene, and he was apprehended a short distance away.

Police determined that Martinez had gone to the residence that day and sometime earlier where he had stolen items from the home.

Police recovered the stolen items, and Martinez was charged with two counts of burglary of a habitation. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with bail set at $40,000.
