EL PASO, Texas —

Police said tire tracks led officers to the home of a man who stole items from a Lower Valley nursing home.

Police received a call at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday stating that several storage buildings were burglarized overnight at Oasis Nursing Home located at 9001 North Loop Dr.

Police said gardening and plumbing supplies, tools, a laptop and an air compressor were stolen.

An officer noticed tire tracks behind the business that led to a home in the 9000 block of Tenango Drive. The officer also found a small radio in a ditch that belonged to the nursing home.

Police later saw Miguel Ruvalcaba, 42, exit the home with items that were taken during the burglary. He was arrested moments later and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with bail set at $5,000.
