Police: Man fired several gunshots in northeast El Paso

EL PASO, Texas —

Police arrested a 64-year-old man they said fired several gunshots in northeast El Paso.

Around 11:34 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a shots fired call near the 3500 block of Harrison Avenue. 

The investigation led police to the 3400 block of Van Buren Avenue where they discovered that Edmundo Lara had fired numerous rounds. Police found spent shell casings, two bullet fragments and a weapon

Lara was charged with discharge of firearm in certain municipalities, and he was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with bail set at $750. 

No injuries were reported.
