Police: Man charged with drug possession, drunken driving after crash

EL PASO, Texas —
A man is facing drunken driving and drug possession charges after police said he crashed into a telephone utility box in central El Paso.Witnesses told police that David Racardo Zambrano, 26, was driving south on the 700 block of Dallas Street when he veered right, went off the road, struck a curb and hit the telephone utility box, police said. When police arrived, they said Zambrano appeared to be intoxicated. Zambrano was charged with drunken driving and possession of marijuana. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with bail totaling $1,300.
