EL PASO, Texas —
Police made 38 arrests over the weekend in multiple drunken-driving-related cases between midnight Friday and about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Of the arrests, 18 were made Friday, 16 on Saturday and four on Sunday.
According to police, 18 first-time offenders, two second-time offenders and two offenders with three or more offenses were arrested. In three cases, minors were arrested, police said.
Police also said that 13 cases involved people with blood alcohol content levels near or above twice the legal limit, which is 0.08.
