EL PASO, Texas —

Police investigate a triple homicide that left two women and a man dead in an Eastside townhome community.

The bodies were found in the community off Vista Del Sol and Bengal drives after police said they responded to a welfare check around 6 a.m. Thursday.

Police suspect foul play and believe it to be a triple homicide. Police are looking for a white Nissan Titan with Texas license plate 21FVB4.

Investigators poured into the complex throughout the  morning, going door to door talking to residents.

Neighbors in homes across the street said they were saddened to hear the news. Firefighters at the scene told neighbors a strong smell of gas was reported in the area.

KFOX14 spoke to a woman who lives two houses down from the scene of the incident who said a woman lived in that home with her two young children.

"The last time I saw them was Monday. They were outside playing in the driveways,” the neighbor said. “She's a friendly woman. She's helped me out when she's seen me get home with the kids."

Police have not identified the bodies and are continuing their investigation.
