EL PASO,TX —
El Paso police are investigating two separate armed motel robberies that happened on Friday night.
Police said the first robbery happened just after 7 p.m. at the Motel 6 on Gateway east near Reynolds.
Police said an armed robber entered the front of the motel and demanded money while pointing a gun at the clerk.
The clerk then handed over the money in the register and the robber escaped through the front door with an undisclosed amount of money.
The second robbery occurred at the Microtel at 6185 South Desert near Artcraft. Police said a suspect entered the front of the motel with a gun, demanded money from the clerk and then escaped through a side door with the money.
Police have not determined if the two cases are related.
