Police Investigate Smash And Grab At Eastside Business

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso police officers responded to the Rent-A-Center on George Dieter Drive after the security alarm sounded off sometime after midnight Wednesday. Officers found the bottom glass panel of the front door had been smashed.

Surveillance video shows two men carrying out three flat-panel TVs and a digital camera that was in a glass case.

El Paso police said they have had several burglaries of businesses incidents in east El Paso recently.

The store manager said several Rent-A-Centers around town have been targeted in the past six months. He said the George Dieter location was broken into in January.

Police are looking for two Hispanic men who are about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. They said one was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt; the other one was wearing a white and blue flannel jacket. Police said one of the men was bald.
