Police Investigate Las Cruces Stabbing

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

Las Cruces Police are investigating an early-morning stabbing that sent one man to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries Thursday.

Around 3 a.m. police were called to the parking lot of Albertson’s grocery store at 2501 north Main St. where a 37-year-old man was stabbed at least one time in the chest.

Police found out that the victim and an acquaintance drove to the parking lot to meet someone. A car drove up and a fight between the suspect and the victim began. The victim was stabbed and the suspect left the scene in a white four-door car.

The 37-year-old man was treated at the scene and then transported to Mountain View Regional Medical Center.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
