Authorities say the driver rear-ended another car at Argonaut Drive and Mesa Street just after midnight, lost control of his vehicle and then reportedly slammed into a light pole.
Investigators said the driver tried to flee the scene, but witnesses were able to catch him.
No injuries were reported.
