"He ended up hitting me, busted my lip, he made me a black eye, and he took my 7-month old baby," said Terrazas.

Since then Terrazas hasn't seen her daughter. The Socorro police said they want to find the father for assault charges, not kidnapping charges. Terrazas said everyday since has been hard on the family.

"My 3-year-old little boy asked me for her, you know, like where's my little sister at. And he's just 3 years old. And he's, 'Mommy, where's Daddy, I want Daddy.' You know, and it's just hard to see a 3-year-old asking for him, you know?," said Terrazas.

So far the only contact she's had with her husband is through a cell phone. Not even phone calls: All she's gotten so far is text messages, messages like "no u will not c her soon" and "Im sorry but we r not going back."

Terrazas wants the police to issue an AMBER alert, where authorities can quickly distribute the information about her daughter missing. El Paso Sheriff's Office officials explained to KFOX when Socorro police could use an AMBER alert.

"It's got to meet the criteria where the child is abducted either by force, and its whereabouts are unknown, and we fear for the child's life," said Deputy Sam Soto.

Right now the Socorro police do not fear for the child's life, but Terrazas does.

"He acts like he doesn't care, you know, he's treating her like she's a toy, and that's no reason for him to take her away from me that way," said Terrazas.
