A 44-year-old man sits in jail in connection with two robberies in Las Cruces.
Investigators said they had to chase down Frank Sheppard after spotting him around the 100 block of Idaho.
Police responded to the scene after someone reported a suspicious person.
Police said Sheppard is responsible for robbing the Sav-O-Mat as well as a Subway restaurant in Las Cruces.
He is being held at the Dona Ana Detention Center under a $26,500 bond.
