El Paso police believe they have solved a cold case more than 25 years old.
Authorities arrested 54-year-old Sergio Calderon Barrientos in Mexico City in connection with the 1981 murder of his estranged wife, Bertha.
Barrientos fled to Mexico right after the shooting, according to authorities.
Police said he's awaiting prosecution in Mexico.
