Police Arrest Two For Allegedly Faking Kidnapping

January 30, 2006 —

Two men are behind bars for allegedly faking a kidnapping in Northeast El Paso.

Ismael Vargas, 25, and Miguel Angel Fuentes, 26, are charged with filing a false police report.

They're being held in the El Paso County Jail.

As KFOX reported, police responded to the Platinum Care car wash where someone reported a man had been forced into a white Ford Explorer.

El Paso police investigators say they're still trying to determine what prompted the men to fake the kidnapping.
