El Paso Police Department Special Traffic Investigation officers said an elderly woman died when a man driving an Infinity struck her and a male companion with his vehicle around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Pendale Road.
The elderly man who was hit survived.
"The male was transported with serious, but what we are being told at this time non-life threatening injuries to Thomason Hospital," said El Paso Police Department spokesman Chris Mears.
Officers said the driver of the Infinity stayed on the scene to cooperate with investigators. Police said he does not face any charges at this time.
