EL PASO, Texas —

Police are looking for the family of a man killed in a pedestrian accident Aug. 30.

Joseph Edward Lake, 64, died from the injuries he sustained after he was hit by a Ford F-150 as he was attempting to cross Santa Fe Street.

Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the incident and no charges are pending against the driver, Ismael Rodriguez, 31.

Police said Rodriguez was driving at the same time Lake was attempting to cross the street. Rodriguez was unable to stop in time and struck Lake, who was taken to University Medical Center and later died.

Anyone with information on Lake's family is asked to call the Special Traffic Investigation Division at 915-564-7140 or police communications at 915-832-4400.
