El Paso firefighters and crews from El Paso Water Utilities responded to an apartment complex near Grover Street just before 4:00 a.m Monday.
Upon arrival, crews learned that an underground water pipe rupture had caused moderate damage to two apartments.
KFOX was granted exclusive access into one apartment where water had soaked the carpets of the kitchen and bedroom.
"I just woke up and my kitchen and living room were soaked," said Shawn Kohler, of East El Paso.
A cause for the main break is still under investigation.
