Tuesday afternoon, rescue crews came close to the perfect rescue.
KFOX had been receiving calls since Monday of a trapped cat right outside the Italian Kitchen restaurant.
El Paso Electric crews agreed to help save the cat by using their equipment to maneuver up high and bring it to safety.
They managed to pluck the feline from the pole, but KFOX caught the cat on video as it accidentally dropped to the ground.
In the mayhem, the cat scurried off. His current whereabouts are unknown.
